A fourth firefighter, Nathan Matthews, 43, of Lincoln, Nebraska, has succumbed to injuries sustained during a June 27 burn-over incident on the Utah-Colorado border.
The Knowles Fire, which merged with the Snyder Fire, led to the deaths of three other members of the Rifle Helitack crew—Emily Barker, Nick Hutcherson, and Sydney Watson—at the scene.
